Sounds good, (wo)man. If I might add anything to consider regarding the middle-eastern aspects (a genre I'm very fond of) it's that I'd add even more percussive elements (grace notes and such) and also a drone. Traditionally, that music is where a great deal of percussion and bi-phonic music originated. So I think that if you added a drone against your melody (like how a lot of traditional duduk music is scored), as well as vocal harmonies, and more layers of percussion, it would feel really authentic.
